Dorothy Bridges is senior vice president for public affairs and community engagement at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, which includes community development, regional outreach, government relations, and the Center for Indian Country Development, in addition to operations at the Helena Branch. Prior to joining the Bank in July 2011, Ms. Bridges served as President and CEO of City First Bank in Washington, D.C. and of Franklin National Bank in Minneapolis from 1999 to 2011.
Bridges is known for her leadership in the community and has been involved with the boards of several distinguished institutions. She has served as a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and as a member of the Federal Reserve System’s Consumer Advisory Council, the board of the American Bankers Association and as chair of its Community Banking Council. She was appointed as a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s community banker’s council. She currently serves on the Greater Twin Cities United Way board of directors, Minneapolis Parks Foundation board and the University of Montana Foundation board of trustees. Past leadership roles include chairing the board of directors of the Northwest Area Foundation and the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches.
