inspiring ideas, creating change
Our goal is to inform, engage, and inspire the University community – faculty, students, staff members – and its external partners about the opportunities for and major contributions of interdisciplinary research that addresses society’s most vexing challenges. A key element of this goal is to emphasize the ways that the collaborative research supported through the Provost’s Office Grand Challenges Research Initiative can lead to transformational change within the University of Minnesota.
Grand Challenges 2019-2020
The Expo offers opportunities for those who are interested in preparing a submission for the Grand Challenges Research – Phase 3 Call for Pre-Proposals. See background, guidelines, and deadlines for Phase 3 submissions and how interdisciplinary researchers can take advantage of an incentive for “idea development” at the Expo.
